Filiberto on horseback, surrounded by soldiers of the war 1915-18.

At the bottom “Torino 1928 A VI”, Turin 1928 / anno 6 (era fascista).
This is the first time era fascista is used on the stamps. Fascism retroactively restarted the calendar in 1927, making October 28th, 1922, the first day of the first year of the new calendar.

In the right border panel “E X Annuale Della Vittoria”, 10th anniversary for the victory (in Veneto).
The years 1528 and 1918 refer to the birth of Filiberto and the year of the victory in Vittorio Veneto.

The motive shows the monument of Filiberto Emanuele in Turin together with symbols of the new Italian State. Underneath the duke appear a soldier anno 1918 and the Italian tricolour. Behind the horse an ancient Roman standard. In the upper left corner the arms of Savoy. In the upper right corner a scutcheon with fasces in the middle and an eagle on the top.
