In the upper right corner St. Domenic  (1170-1221), founder of the order of Friars Preachers or Black Friars.
The order rapidly spread all over Western Europe and became a pioneering missionary force in Asia and (much later) in the Americas. He was canonised 1234. His usual attributes in art are a lily and a black and white dog, a pun on the name of Dominic which touches a torch in his mouth as a herald to the truth.
