The regime attached great importance to the education of children. "Giovinezza", The Youth, was the party song. The cult of the youth encouraged the ideal of the young hero. The aim was to create "the new man", the fascist man, with a high moral and fighting spirit. The motto for the youth was "Obey, believe, and fight".
Children were incorporated into the life of the Fascist Party at an early age. The fascists founded several youth clubs with sports facilities, pre-military training and indoctrination sessions. Most important was the organisation of the Balilla, founded in 1926 and named after a child-champion of liberty during the war between Genoa and Austria in 1746, with seperate branches for boys and girls. The fascist leaders were present and active in the schools as well.

Arms of Savoy with fasces depicted on all the stamps.
The text "Mostra colonie estive e assistenza all'infanzia" in different versions, sometimes omitting "Roma giugno-settembre XV".
